B.Ed Course Overview
The
BTTTC offers two years B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) programme that
aims to prepare the students to become effective teachers in secondary and
higher secondary education and enable them to develop cognitive, affective and
psycho-motor domains of educational objectives. Our B.Ed. programme
is recognized by NCTE.
Candidates
with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and / or in the
Master’s Degree in Science / Social Sciences / Humanity, Bachelor’s in
Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with
55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for
admission to the B.Ed. programme (relaxation up to 5% marks in case of
CS/ST/OBC/PH candidates).
The
duration of the program is two years which comprises of four semesters
of coursework and teaching internship.

The main difference is that a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is a 2-year professional degree pursued after graduation to teach higher classes, whereas a B.El.Ed. (Bachelor of Elementary Education) is a 4-year integrated undergraduate program pursued right after Class 12 to teach primary and elementary classes.
