Library Details
ABOUT BTTTC LIBRARY:
The Bhavan’s Tripura Teacher Training College (BTTTC) Library was established in 2015 in the college main building comprising a Reading Room, a Reference Section, a Periodical Section, a Circulation Counter, etc. BTTTC Library has been emerging as a knowledge resource centre mainly catering to the needs of the faculties, administrative staffs and students towards accessing information and many more. The library provides material for both the courses namely Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) along with syllabus, question bank, research publications, reference books and materials related to different competitive exams like TET, UPSC and other competitive exams etc. Computers and sufficient internet terminals are provided to students and staff for the access of various learning resources not only through the Open Access Online Journals but also through the various E-Resources. The library has been situated in a spacious and easily accessible area in the college campus. The feedbacks from users of the library testify that they have always cherished memories of having availed the services of this treasure-house of knowledge.

RULES AND
REGULATIONS:
·
Before entering the library all kinds of
personal belongings are supposed to be kept in the property counter at the
entrance of library.
·
Only wallet, purse, mobile, laptops, tabs
and valuable items will be allowed inside the library.
·
Mobile phones in vibration mode are
permissible so that readers do not get disturbed.
·
Users are not allowed to leave their
baggage overnight in the property counter. The library shall not be responsible
for any loss of personal property or books already issued to a user.
·
All the members/visitors must sign a
register specially provided for the purpose by entering all the columns. The
signature shall ensure that the person concerned agrees to abide by the rules
and regulations of the library.
·
Maintain silence inside the library.
·
Members shall not engage in conversation
in any part of the library so as to cause annoyance to any other reader.
·
Photography is not allowed inside the
library.
·
No food item is allowed inside the
library.
·
Ask the library staff for any book, and
afterward the book should be kept in the library staffs table if not issued
out.
·
Underlining, marking, folding of pages
etc. of books is strictly prohibited.
·
The members caught tearing of pages /
stealing books or otherwise mutilating books will be suspended forthwith from
using library facilities and further disciplinary action will be initiated
against him/her by the college authority.
·
Member must report any mutilation found in
the books before borrowing, otherwise the last borrower is liable to pay for
damages when the books are returned or the library authority finds the
mutilation.
·
Reference books, rare books, newspaper,
magazine, journals are not issued but can be used for reading inside the
library.

LOSS/
DAMAGE OF BORROWED BOOKS:
·
Users will be responsible for any damage
or loss of library materials in their possession and will be required to meet
the cost of replacement and processing.
·
In case a user lost a book, he/she must
report the librarian immediately and replace or pay for the same within 30
days.
·
If any issued book is lost by the
students, they have to pay 5 times of the actual price of the book.
LOSS
OF LIBRARY MEMBERSHIP CARD:
In case of loss of
library membership card, should be reported immediately in writing in
prescribed format to the Librarian along with a fine of Rs.50 charged for
re-issue of a new/duplicate card.
OVERDUE
FINE:
Library members should return/renew the books issued
to them within stipulated timeframe. Failing to which fine may be imposed on
them @ Rs. 1.00 per.
